This is the /s)#holo&) o$ Shirk -asso#iatin& /artners [with Allah]. be#ause a /erson ma) do
whate%er he wants o$ disobedien#e to Allah, but then he wants to hide behind someone
#lose to Allah to /rote#t him $rom Allah0s an&er1 This /erson will e%en tr) to /lease and
o%er/raise that inter#essor, so that the inter#essor will inter#ede in $a%our o$ his #ase in the
#ourt o$ Allah1 2ittle do these /eo/le know that Allah will $or&i%e who "e wills on that Da),
and this is the sin that Allah does not $or&i%e -o$ shirk.1
This surah remo%es those doubts, as we will see inshaa0 Allah [3od willin&]1

Ci#a0i sa)s7 Ath<al re$ers to7 treasures, aswell as the dead -the disbelie%er would den) that
he, and the dead would return and be brou&ht ba#k to this world.1 Cut instead, he a$ter his
death would return to this world -on =ud&ment Da)., alon& with the earths treasures whi#h
he had been $i&htin& $or and #hasin& a$ter his whole li$e, but on this Da), no!one #ares $or
these treasures ! when be$ore this, that was his onl) /ur/ose in li$e whi#h distra#ted him
$rom buildin& a relationshi/ with Allah1
@n this Da), the *arth will be o$$erin& itsel$ to the /eo/le, when be$ore /eo/le would
themsel%es work da) and ni&ht in the *arth to seek its &old, sil%er, oil, diamonds et#1 Cut
on this Da), mankind will realise the realit) o$ the de#e/tion o$ this world, the worthlesness
o$ this wealth, and submit to the $a#t that $inal su##ess #an onl) #ome $rom Allah0s /leasure
alone on this Da)1
Shawkani said the :Th?a2 [burden] also in#ludes 9e/orts o$ all that was done in the
di$$erent lo#ations o$ the *arth durin& the di$$erent times1 So this earth is like a %ideo
re#order e%er)where we are, re#ordin& all that we do in /ubli# and /ri%ate1 So the an&els
are witnesses, and Allah is too, but the) are unseen to us1
"owe%er the *arth is a witness and re#order, and so are our bodies1 These are a//arent to
us and are wat#hin& and re#ordin& us do our &ood and bad1 Now i$ somethin& is $illed u/ too

still ask what is wron& with her(
Al Naas is used later in the surah F it is a /lural and re$ers to man) /eo/le1
:nsaan F mankind, but in this #onte't it re$ers to man, when he is alone, althou&h bein&
amon&st man) /eo/le -all o$ mankind, $rom Adam to the last /erson on *arth.1
