REGULAR MEETING - MONDAY, MARCH 3, 2008 Minutes of a regular meeting held in the Rosthem Town Council Chambers on Monday, March 3, 2008 commencing at 7:00 p.m Present Mayor Doug Knoll Councillors Dom Corbett Don Greve Dennis Helmuth Ted Janzen Don Reimer Staff Nicole LaChance, Town Administrator Colin Acbig, Outside Superintendent Press Rod Andrews, The Saskatchewan Valley News Absent Councillor Terry Hinz Callto Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Knoll at 6:55 p.m. Agenda 51.2008 Corbett: That the agenda for the March 3, 2008 regular meeting be accepted as amended. CARRIED. Minutes 52.2008 Reimer: That the minutes of the February 18, 2008 regular meeting be adopted CARRIED. Communities in Bloom 53.2008 Greve: That the Communities in Bloom membership be tabled until the March 17 regular meeting, CARRIED. Recreation Board Appointment ~ Kris Babbings 54.2008 Greve: That Kris Babbings be appointed to the Rosthern Recreation Board for a two- year term. CARRIED. Administration Reports 55.2008 Janzen: That the following administration reports be accepted as presented: a) Town Administrator's Report b) Outside Superintendent's Report ©) Transit Year-end Report 4) Transit Report for January CARRIED. Regular Meeting Monday, March 3, 2008 Page 2 Committee Reports 56.2008 Helmuth: That the following committee reports be accepted as presented: a) Finance and Administration Committee Meeting, February 18 b) Waste Management Committee, February 26 CARRIED, Partners for the Saskatchewan River Basin 57.2008 Corbett: That the Town continue to be a member of the “Partners for the Sask. River Basin” at a cost of $125 for an annual membership fee. CARRIED, Ladies’ Night Out Donation 58.2008 Corbett: That the Town donate a family scason pass to the Valley Aquatic Centre for the 2008 season to the Ladies’ Night Out Committee for its fundraiser being held on April 12, 2008. CARRIED. Correspondence 59.2008 Janzen: That the following correspondence be received and filed for information: 2) Kathleen Findlay Bob b) Toronto Mayor — David Miller °c) FCM 4) Partners for the Saskatchewan River Basin e) NCTPC f) NTPC Annual Meeting g) _ Ladies’ Night Out Committee h) Prairie Spirit Schoo! Division CARRIED. Valley Regional Park ~ Extra Grant 60.2008 Greve: That the Town agree to give an extra $5,000 grant to the Valley Regional Park for 2008 in order to capitalize on a matching grant from Affinity Credit Union, CARRIED.
