1. What is your understanding of this role?

My understating of this role (Head Nurse/Nurse Manager) is to manage and lead the
assigned patient care unit for administrative and clinical aspects, hence provide
supervision and support of the unit team. Furthermore, to ensure and deliver high
quality patient care. Ultimately, the head nurse is responsible and accountable for
the assigned unit.


2. In your current role what are the key responsibilities and tasks you
perform?
Ongoing clinical management of the unit.
Daily rounds in the unit and direct patient care when needed.
Manages, supervises and coordinates activities of staff members,
including scheduling, allocation within the unit.
Motivates departmental staff by effectively leading, directing and
motivating employees to perform to the best of their abilities
Acts as patient advocate
3. Which stakeholders do you have regular contact with in your current
role? Nurses, Physcians, Pharmacists, lab technicians,radiology department

8 years of experience as a head nurse and unit manager.

requirements.
Experienced in opening and establishing new nursing care units.
Ability to function well in a multi-disciplinary team.
Speaker of various nursing courses.

I'm looking for new challenges and better opportunity and to gain new
experience.

considering a new employer/ position?
Position related to my experience, good reputation of the hospital, advanced
technology and continuing education that the hospital can offer ,and the job offer

8. How many staff reporting to you? Current team structure?
15 nurses (11 Staff Nurses, 4 practical nurses)

9. Type of cases handled? Surgical and orthopedic cases (Post
operation patients, such as appendectomy,GBS,hernia etc) Road Traffic
Accidents, Spinal Cord injuries cases secondary to Motor vehicle accident,
Falling down cases ,Bed Sores, wound management, war injury patients
,head trauma .In addition to urological cases .


10. Type of machines/equipment's used? Using IVAC Pump Machine for IV fluids
& Antibiotic
Electronic beds .air mattress, Skin tractions, PCA, wheel chair, DC shock, ECG
machine.
