Subject: Flight Operations to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International
Airport, Israel

Ref. Publications: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Notice to Airmen
(NOTAM) FDC 4/3630 “Security Israel Potentially Hazardous
Situation – Israel Airspace” issued on 22 July 2014.

Reason: This SIB is re-published to correct a typo in the subject
header.
Applicability: National Aviation Authorities and aircraft operators.

Description: Due to the potentially hazardous situation created by the
armed conflict in Israel and Gaza, the FAA issued NOTAM
FDC 4/3630 prohibiting all flight operations to and from Tel
Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (LLBG) for U.S. aircraft
operators.
The Agency draws the aviation community’s attention to the
possible existence of serious risks to the safety of
international civil flights and the consequent airspace
restrictions implemented.

Recommendation(s): National Aviation Authorities should ensure that all aircraft
operators are aware of the following information:
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) strongly
recommends airspace users to refrain from operating to and
from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (LLBG).
In addition, EASA recommends to review and consider the
current security threat as well as any available information
and all relevant NOTAMs.
EASA will monitor the situation and advise on any update as
the situation develops.
