Estella de Graaf was born on February 23rd, 1983 and in 1986, only 3 years old, she was

diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Despite all efforts and treatments she
died on June 22nd, 1996 at the far too young age of 13.
In 1990 Rudolf de Graaf, father of Estella, started raising funds together with his Rotary Club to support
projects in Yogyakarta. This lasted about 10 years. In 1998 the Estella Foundation was instituted as a
formal Stichting according to Dutch law.
Building of a clinic, including laboratory, for the treatment of children with cancer and a guesthouse for
the parents and relatives: Pediatric Cancer Centre Estella (opened in January 2006) and Guesthouse
Estella (opened in September 2007).
Rudolf de Graaf had a daugther named Estella de Graaf, who was only 3 years old when

In 1998, Rodulf build Estella Foundation with goal to help treatment of children with cancer.
They build clinic, laboratory, and guesthouse for parents and relatives.
In 2006, Pediatric Cancer Centre Estella and Guesthouse was established in Manado. Since then
there are many children that have received help from this foundation.
