Routine Writing
Students must develop and convey understanding by engaging in frequent routine writing. Routine writing facilitates learning and processing
information by acting as a medium to explore, clarify, and think deeply about the ideas and concepts across content. Routine writing serves as
an ongoing formative assessment of content area learning (e.g., summaries, writing-to-learn tasks, response to a short text or an open-ended
question).
