Pens: One 2x0 (.30mm) technical pen (Rotring, Koh-I-Noor) Other pen sizes as desired. The more sizes you have, the more flexibility you have. Note: Disposable pens, even though similarly sized, won’t be used in this class. Pen bodies with a variety of nibs can be economically purchased as sets. Paper: Esdee British White Scraper Board, 2 sheets 12x19” (available from Dick Blick or Jerry’s Artarama online or directly), or Claybord scratchboard, white, 9x12”, 2 boards. Tracing vellum or other tracing paper Sketch pad Other: Paint brush – a #4 or so for applying ink 70% Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol Paper towels Water container Ultradraw technical pen ink Kneaded eraser Pink Pearl eraser 2H, 2B graphite pencils Scotch Removable Tape Small Ruler Magnifying glass Mounting board if using Esdee – 10 x 13” masonite or other drawing board Xacto® Blade Holder and #11, #16 blades Small tube of Titanium White water color paint Oil-free steel wool pad (available from Menininger’s, Dick Blick’s, etc.)
