1 Project Background

1.1 Problem/Opportunity Description
The instructors or faculties consumes a lot of time
in storing and computing of grades of the students. It’s
time consuming for them to add, update, view and print
records of student’s grade. The data stored were
redundant. It’s hard to verify the grades of the students
because of so many files to browse manually resulting to
information that is lacking of credibility.
1.2 Benefits
The system is accessible and user friendly. It can
meet the needs of the user. . It’s easy for the user to add,
update, view and print records of student’s grade. The
process of verifying grades of the students will be
simplified, easy to manage and can be done without
wasting so much time. The data or grade information of
the students can easily be found and will not be a burden
to know what is the real grade to acknowledge in case if
the instructor update the file, in other term, there is no
data redundancy resulting to a worthy information.
It’sBecaused the other existing system can’t use
easily and too much time consuming in verifying grades
of the student.
1.3 Goals
To make the system user-friendly, can easily
manage and access by the user. To make the system to
add, update, view and print records of student’s grade. To
make the task of the user simplified. To make the system
consumes less time and effort. To make the system gives
credible grade information of the students.
1.4 Stakeholders and Clients
1. Proponents – This system will help the proponents to
enhance their knowledge and skills in developing a
grading management system.
2. Facultyand Instructors – This system will help them
to process records, keep and handle essential student
grades in a convenient way.
3.Students – This system will help students to easily
know their grade information in a minimize time and
effort.
4.Parents – This system will help parents to know their
children’s progress in school with morecredible
information.
5. Researchers – This system will help them to get an
idea on the process of grading management system.
6. Future Researchers – This system will give them
knowledge in past system used in grading management.

2.3 Out of Scope
1. Delete the student grade information – The system
is not allowing the user to delete student information due
to the purpose of having its grade credibility.

3 Project Plan

3.1 Approach and Methodology
3.1.1 System planning
The proponents plan to have a group meeting, conduct
interview, survey, and research and divided all the responsibility
3.1.2 System analysis

3.1.3 System Documentation
Keeping accurate record of interviews, ideas, facts and
observation is essential to successful system development.
The ability to manage information is one of the marks of
successful system analyst. We gather information and obtain
copies of actual forms and an operating document currently in
use. We also obtain document samples then after that we
organize our documentation so related material is located easily.
3.1.4 System design

3.1.5 System Implementation
3.1.6 Operational Information System

In this proposed system, the proponents used a statistical
method for gathering information. They formulated a
questionnaire that will help them to know the problems
encountered by thefaculties, instructors and students of the
school. The questionnaire wasstudied first before distributing it
to the respondents for them to answer. After this, the proponents
gathered the results to find out whether the study is practicable
for the school.
