Background

These activities are designed to review ordering frac-
tions. Students can self-check by placing the fractions next to
one another to determine which one is greater or less than.

How to Assemble

Print each page and laminate. It is best to print in color.


How to Play Tic-Tac-Toe

Students can use the tic-tac-toe board in order to the
fractions in order from least to greatest. Begin the game by
placing the chips face down onto the table. Each student
takes a turn by placing each chip onto the tic-tac-toe board.
The next player takes a turn by placing a chip that follows the
row sequence of ascending or descending into smaller or
greater numbers. The next player takes a turn. When a
player places a third chip down that fits the ascending or de-
scending order, he or she wins. Look at the example on the
next page.
