Freezing does not damage
Important notes...
Freezing does not damage but ampules may break. A diluent should also be
kept cold before using.

OP vaccine is easily damaged by heat but is not harmed by freezing.

DT component is damaged by freezing and P component is damaged by heat.

Hepa-B vaccine is damaged by both heat and freezing.

Paul will cater immunization to children in
his assigned community. The total population
of Brgy. Kambal na Krus is 15,750.

Eligible population= Population x Target
Population
Annual dose= Eligible population x standard
dose
Actual annual dose= Annual dose x wastage
factor
Monthly dose= Actual Annual dose/ 12
Compute the following:
1. Paul is required to have monthly doses for TT. Compute
for the monthly doses for TT.
2. What will be the eligible population for Hepa B vaccine?
3. Compute for the monthly doses of AMV.
4. Compute for the monthly doses of OPV
5. Compute for the monthly doses required for Hepa-B.

6. If community B has a total population of 2,000, and you
are required to compute for the Annual Auto-disable
syringe requirement. What is the annual syringe
requirement for BCG?
