An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels.

The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. She believed in the strength of her love And was joined Hand in Hand forever It was a promise, with promise She wanted, waited, planned and compromised She trusted, hurt, counted and hoped She helped and healed, again and again She trusted in her intuition And felt her way with those she loved She is found standing alongside those she believes in She has dreams and desires, and longs For love to hold her and keep her She She She She supports her husband in all he has done has stepped where he could not has moved when he would not has guided, coaxed, encouraged and led

She mothers her children under the shelter of her wings She wants to know them fully And to enter life with them; so She nurtures, has joy, builds and stores up She gives of herself Sacrificing of her flesh and vitality As she carries each of us to birth As we grow, she lets us go She believed and trusted; she was never alone She is a woman whose faith became Faith She who once felt her way is learning to feel The Way His Way has promise, His way is promise Hand in Hand forever was a dream, a fantasy Of a boy trying to be a man Flesh of my flesh is the promise, the hope From the man trying to be her husband Love is the gift he wants to give It is the warmth he wants her to feel It is the sound he wants her to hear "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,

But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates. August 17, 2006
