AS YOU READ CHAPTER 26
This week we read Chapter 26 of The Story and learn that Jesus died because he was telling people about Gods kingdom.
1. When Jesus went to the garden to pray, he asked the
disciples to stay awake and pray for him. They were tired so
they feel asleep instead. Talk about a time that your friends
let you down.
Prayer: God, we pray you help us to forgive our friends who
have let us down. We thank you that you will never let us
down and are always there to help us. Amen!
2. Why is it hard to stay awake sometimes when youre praying
at night?
Prayer: God, we ask you help us to find the best time to
pray during the day or night where we can give our full
attention to you. We thank you that you forgive us when we
do fall asleep. Amen!
3. How do you think the disciples could have encouraged
each other to stay awake would pinching each other have
worked?
Prayer: God, we thank you that you encourage us to live
our lives to the best of our ability. We pray you help us to
encourage others who need help learning more about you.
Amen!
4. Will Jesus ever let you down? Why?
Prayer: God, thank you for your unconditional love for all
humans. We thank you that you never let us down, always
hear our prayers and are always there for us when times are
tough. Amen!
5. What sets Jesus apart from other people who have claimed
to be God?
Prayer: God, we are so thankful for your life on this earth.
We praise you for teaching us how to live a perfect life for
God. We pray we arent afraid to proclaim Gods kingdom
and his love for everyone. Amen!
