Prin$i!e
A well-mixed sample is fltered through a weighed standard glass fber and
the residue retained on the flter is dried to a constant weight at 103 to
105 degree C. The increase in weight of the flter represents the total
suspended solids.
Pro$ed"re
1. eep the flter paper in o!en for one hour.
". The desiccate the flter paper is desiccator.
3. Then weigh of the flter paper.
#. Then flter the ml of sample b$ this flter paper with help of pump machine.
5. eep the fltrate containing flter paper in o!en for one hour at 103 to 105
degree C.
%. Then desiccate the residue containing flter paper is desiccator for few
minutes.
