I am being tortured
I am veal
The gods have constrained my senses so as to tenderize me for their ingestion
My life is shackles and restraints
since birth
prodded and shoved in a direction that seems altogether foreign to my sensibilities

embrace the prison little veal
the sun would just hurt your tender eyes
the ground would hurt your tender muscles
the pain, the lack of pleasure, the anemic pablum they serve you as knowledge...
humph food for thought my ass

At some point In life I was injured by the keepers of the veal
and the layers started to peel back
first I lost my identity as a worker
then as husband
a father
a man

I stand now before the gods
naked beyond the soul… if that is even possible...
pure concentrated essence of man tortured into
a singularity of tenderized humanity
a morsel on the buffet table of vast cosmic entities

whether I am served to hyper dimensional kings or thrown away...
is of no importance I ceased being attached to any greater scheme of things
once I realized I was veal.
