Mt. Apo in Kidapawan City Several trails lead to the summit, coming from Kidapawan, North Cotabato. An
average hike requires 24 days. Various sights include Lake Venado, one of the highest lakes in the Philippines, and
the old crater of Mt. Apo near its summit. In the classification system used by local popular mountaineering
website PinoyMountaineer.com, the difficulty of the hike is 7 out of 9. The mountain may be climbed year-round.
Lake Sebu in Lake Sebu - is a natural lake located in the municipality of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato and within the
Alah Valley region. The Philippine government has recognized it as one of the countrys most important watersheds.
Lake Sebu is one of the many bodies of water supplying important irrigation to the provinces of Sultan Kudarat and
South Cotabato.it is one of the prime eco-tourism destinations in the Region. famous for its 2 km Zipline, Longest in
the Philippines.
Baras Bird Sanctuary in Tacurong City - the most visited site in Tacurong, the Baras Bird Sanctuary is truly a
humbling experience. In an almost two hectares of land lying by a river bank here, the crack of dawn offers a
melodious harmony of birds; thousands dot the skies also during sunsets, a pleasure for bird watchers.
Gumasa Beach in Glan - dubbed as the Small Boracay in Mindanao Barangay Gumasa has a six kilometer-long
crescent beach on Saranganis eastern shore and only about an hours drive from General Santos City.Gumasa
Beach, the Small Boracay of Mindanao or Boracay of the South, whatever name herein is the beauty of the beach.
The white sand and fine crystal land makes your feet comportable to walk around the beach.
Fishport Complex in General Santos City - The tuna fishing industry had never been this promising and lucrative
since its birth on this side of the earth-General Santos City. Lying at the head of the Sarangani Bay, the city has been

sa silangan nito ay ang lalawigan ng Davao del Sur, sa timog ay ang Dagat
Celebes at sa hilaga nito ay ang lalawigang Bukidnon.
Matatagpuan ang Rehiyon XII o SOCCSKSARGEN sa katimugang
bahagi ng Pilipinas. Hango ang pangalang SOCCSKSARGEN sa simula ng
mga titik ng mga lalawigang South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat,
Saranggani at General Santos City.


Alam mo ba na kinikilala ang lalawigan ng General Santos hindi
lamang sa ating bansa kundi sa buong mundo dahil sa kanyang malinamnam
at saganang isdang tuna?
Alam mo ba ang dahilan kung bakit pagsasaka at pangingisda ang
ikinabubuhay sa rehiyong ito?
Malaki ang kinalaman ng katangiang pisikal at klima ng isang rehiyon
sa mga produkto at ikinabubuhay ng mga taong naninirahan dito. Ito ay ang
pagkakaroon ng matatabang lupa ng rehiyon, may mga lambak, ilog at dagat
na nakapaligid dito. Maulan at malamig ang klima rito. Hindi rin nadarama
ang bagyo dahil sa matataas na bundok ang ditoy matatagpuan.

Fishport Complex in General Santos City

A visit to General Santos City is not complete without visiting the General Santos Fishport Complex (Brgy.
Tambler, General Santos City). We woke up pretty much early so we can arrive there much earlier. The half asleep
me and my parter dragged our ass up and off we went to the fishport! General Santos City is famous for one good
reason (Aside from being the hometown of the pound for pound boxer of the world, Pakyaw); their fishport
complex is the place where they offload their freshly catch "GIANT TUNAS"and other seafood. I am completely
in awe after seeing tons and tons and tons of GIGANTIC TUNAS! Well, GENSAN is the Tuna Capital of the
Philippines, afterall.
