SYCAMORE LN MIDDLE SCHOOL’S
MISSION
Is to prepare students to become worthy citizens through the acquisition of
knowledge, skills, appreciation of cultural heritage, health and positive
self- image by providing an atmosphere for learning where each student
will develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
VISION
Sycamore Lane Middle School is a part of Scotland County’s school
system. The district vision is that all students will graduate, then become
college and career ready.
STUDENT PERSONNEL SERVICES
Student personnel services include our guidance counselors, nurse, school psychologist, homebound services and speech
pathologist. The guidance counselors can assist in educational information and counseling for personal and school-related matters.
We also have child/family support team to assist students as needed for academic success. We have a school nurse and social
worker on site. Students should schedule time with the counselors during break, lunch, before homeroom or after school, unless it is
an emergency. The school psychologist, nurse, speech pathologist, and homebound services are all system-level professionals who
serve other schools in addition to Sycamore Lane Middle School. Each of these professionals provide important and specialized
services to students.
