THE EXPLANATION OF EACH MANAGEMENT
Financial Management
Financial management is needed by every company. Includes Ramen House.
Financial Management in Ramen House charged of managing all the financial elements,
which became one of the essential elements to achieve company goals. The tasks of the
financial manager ramen house include financial planning, financial budgeting, financial
management, financial search, storage, control, and inspection. Financial planning was done
before Ramen House established, and also at the time the company was run. Financial
planning and budgeting are in the adjacent time, so that the concentrations of the company’s
goals are not biased by time. Financial management can be seen when Satriya build his
business. It is because building a business needs a funds or money. Distribute appropriate
funds to build a great business. Fund search such as finding the initial capital or capital for
business development. Control and audit by conducting the evaluation and improvement of
the system as well as the audit of the financial companies to avoid deviations.
Financial management is also related to human resource management. Example, in increasing
number of employees, financial issues must also be considered. Is the employee will gain a
good impact on the company's financial or even increase the financial burden of the
company. Human resource management should be in sync with the financial management.
Operational management should also be in sync with the financial management. Example,
increasing number of input or output will have a good impact to corporate financial or not.
Look atmarginal revenue. Thus, in an enterprise input and output has its own limit for
maximum profit. And financial management as fund management has responsible with that
calculation.

Operational Management
As we know operation management is a process which transforms inputs such as raw
materials and direct labor into outputs in the form of finished goods and services. In ramen
house, most of operational managements are happen in their production house, which is
where they produce their ramen and other foods. They gather all ingredients that they needed
and import it to their production house, there are two ingredients, the first one is the
ingredients that exist in indonesia and the other one is the ingredients that imported from
japan such as nori and fish seasoning

Operational, Financial, Marketing, HR Management and Leadership are related each
other. for example to put a new employee to a company, an OM have to collaborate with HR
which one of their task is to recruit new employee, and also to make an inovation every
company need a funds to make a realization for their innovation, to gain the funds the OM
have to communicate with Financial management to determine the amount of funds they
need. Meanwhile marketing management play a role as a medium to communicate the output
in the form of goods and service that already created by OM to the target consumer with their
selling skills. As for leadership, the leader role to decide and influence every sector
management coordinating with each other to achieve the targets and goals that already
decided before.


Marketing Management
The owner already decide a few instrument in ramen house marketing division, such
as:
 Target customer : Students, Japanese foods lover, Tourist who interested with
culinary in bandung
 Products : to attract the target consumer owner create 8 kind of variety of ramen and
other interesting menu such as : Gohan (Chicken Katsu Curry, Beef Curry), Dessert
(Bread Pan Oreo, Mr Fuji Chocolate Melt) and drinks ( Milo Godzilla, teh Tarik,
Green Tea, etc).
 Price : Owner determine the price of their food with an affordable cost for their
customer for a range from 13000 – 24000 rupiah beside that, the owner also give a 5
% discount every Wednesday for one person.
 Place : the location of ramen house is quiete strategic, it located in Ir H Djuanda
which is one of the crowded place in bandung
 Promotion : with the plan that already mentioned above, the owner promote his
restaurants with social media such as facebook, twitter, official website, and
instagram, by posting the photo of each menu such as ramen, gohan, dessert, with an
attractive image and description from each menu.

Human Resource Management and Leadership
In our opinion based on the observation ,Human Resource Management and
leadership have a strong relation. In ''Ramen House'' (Restaurant that we observed) we know
that to manage the Human Resources, the owner divided the employee into three division,
there are Kitchen division ,service division and Financial Manager division. And every
division has one leader that the owner choose to concern about their job. The owner as a
leader in the company of course, have a special rule to recruit the employee to get job in his
restaurant. He give a special training to the employee candidate in 3 months than the
employee can get job in one division that he/she expert about it. We can see too,the function
of the leader to give a motivation. Month by month the owner always give a reward to the
''Best Employee In This Month'' so, the employee always get a motivation to be the best
employee. In the owner monitoring, if the employee have a great job and really expert in
her/his job of course the owner will select her/his to be a leader of division that he/she
expertise. In our observation we see that, the owner as a leader always make warm and happy
atmosphere in the restaurant like always talk to each employee and give a motivatiom to be
more and more better. So,the employee can do his/her job with happy and full of
responsibility.

So, from each explanation we know that to be a great company, we need a better
collaboration from each management. We need each other as a one group that have same
mission for now and the future of us.


2. WHAT WE LEARN ...
We learn that in order to open a business is not easy, many of which should be well
thought out and many of the factors that support it. In every business there are surely SWOT
overrun Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat. Also with the business that we have
observed which is a Ramen House, Ramen House is a ramen restaurant located on Jl.Ir.H.
Juanda, Bandung. Ramen House have the power which has different taste because its owner
learned how to produce a delicious ramen in Japan, in addition to Ramen House own unique
restaurant concept that comic characters from Japan and also the price is affordable
accordance with the target marketing restaurant is a student.
The owner of a Ramen House, Satria, see how the opportunities that exist can be
realized to make it a restaurant ramen who favored a lot of people. The opportunities is that
the ramen restaurants in bandung are not that much, if there is any , the price is not affordable
so here’s where the presence of that opportunity. Unfortunately this business difficult to open
branches to other cities which can be said as its weakness and the threat is how the owner can
continue to maintain this ramen business because business in the ever-changing culinary
fields-modify. But it all can be overcome when a business has a good management.

Management in the Ramen House is quite unique. They produce the Ramen noodle
by his own factory in Jl. Tubagus Ismail 1. But, some ingredients should import from Japan
such as, Nori, Salmon seasoning, Japanese soy sauce. Actually, the owner don’t need a
special chef because the concept of this ramen is like instant noodle. So, every one can make
the ramen and this is one of the franchise concept that the owner built. Ramen House has not
marketing manager even for two years standing but it doesn't make Ramen House less
unknown by people during those time marketing is done by social media like twitter,
facebook, and website. In addition, the are four components in the marketing mix, one of
them is place; the location that Ramen House located is really strategic for the target market
(students) around the restaurant location like, the student from ITB, UNPAD, ITHB,
UNIKOM, etc.

We feel that the concept of running a ramen house different from the concept of the
restaurant business in general, ramen house using a flat organization where fewer hirerachy
span of control, it makes it easier to work with level manager slightly, the costs associated
with the position is relatively small, then the command line and the short, communication
responsibility is more effective, easier to overcome obstacles due to bureaucratic obstacles
can be avoided, and also makes it easy to work can be faster. To manage the Human

owner using transformational leadership to work with his organisation. He give a special

In the owner monitoring, if the employee have a great job and really expert in her/his job of
course the owner will select her/his to be a leader of division that he/she expertise.




3. THE IMPROVEMENTS ....

For the operating activities, my suggestion is to use an ingredient that came from
indonesia,it also make uscontribute tothe growth ofdomesticproducts, beside that we also not
depend on imported products which the quality of the ingredients are almost same with the
one from indonesia, also the purchase of raw materials in our country could save the shipping
costandthe purchaseof the raw materials.

For marketing, we suggest to use bannerata strategiclocationthatcanbe easilyseen by
many people. Use differential cost competitive such as produce a product at a lower cost than
its competitors,differential competitive advantage like provide unique product or services
that offers something of value besides a lower prices, And create alogothat
showstypicalramenhouseitself andis easy to rememberthe people.

Improvements in the financial part is provide more machine for debit card users to
make it easier for consumers if her may not carry cash, and recruiting financial managers,
specifically to regulate the financial business ramen house.

For the management of human resources, there should be a rule that binds the
employee, such as when serving consumer attitudes, discipline, recruiting employees with the
selected and in the orientation/induction, given the training and professional development, as
well as routine check and assess the performance of employees. it is important to know the
career employees and ensure consumers are satisfied with the services we provide,as well as
other consumers attracted to come and enjoy our business.

And improvements to the leader are he need to make more decision and taking risk,
innovating and creating new menu that attract consumers, and always control the activities of
employees in part,not authoritarian, and balance between people concern and task concern.
