Market Segmentation The NRM want to find out about who their customers are.

They want to know: • • • • how many customers are male how many customers are female how many are children how many are adults

They also want to know more about the ages of the people that visit.

Like all organisations, the NRM have to decide whether they want to attract the mass market or target one or more market segments. There are many different ways to segment the market. The most common are age and lifecycle. One way the NRM have decided to segment the market is by age. . The market has been divided into different age groups. There are other ways to segment the market.
