FABRIC SOURCING SKILLS

Selection of vendors and rates as per the standard norms, procedures of Company.
Procure the material at the most economical rates after adequate rate comparison and
negotiation
Ensure the adherence to the schedu1e and plans developed.
Vigorous follow up with the vendors for the adherence to the delivery schedules fixed as
per the MRP Execution.
Working sample with merchandiser / design & marketing, co-ordination the samples
needed for photo shoot/development meetings.
Sample development: Market analysis, Fabric sourcing, Development of new fabrics in
India that were received from different buyers. Development of Strike off, Lab dips,
Shade Matching approvals, Presentation samples, making & forwarding to buyers.
Sample Yardage booking, costing idea, and Technical information to the suppliers about
the development.
Dyeing quality control: After the approval of hand loom swatch / sample yardage, right
process and appropriate application of chemicals to achieve the required shade and
fastness and testing the quality subjected to qualification of yarn under the standard
testing methods as per the buyers requirement.
Production: Planning the production and vendors as per the order quantity, quality and
delivery schedule.
Conduct Factory Audits/Evaluation according to the international standards to source
potential vendors.
Responsible for all testing requirements, compliance and internal standards.
