My name is Emily Murray and I will be the student

teacher for the next two weeks. This is my senior year at
Pittsburg State and my major is Early Childhood nified.
This degree allows me to work with children from birth to
third grade including s!ecial education. I am excited to work
with all the students and ha"ing the o!!ortunity to get to
know them better.

The theme for the next two weeks will
be the beach%ocean. This theme will gi"e the
students a way to ex!erience the beach
through hands&on acti"ities. Through the
acti"ities I ha"e !lanned the students will be
able to ex!lore things such as water' sand'
sea creatures' and many others. (ith the
!ro!s !ro"ided the students will be able to
use their imaginations and !retend like they
are at an actual beach. I think this theme will
allow the students to ha"e fun and learn at
the same time.

1. Crush graham crackers and fill the
bottom of the cu! to re!resent the
sand of the beach.
2. #ill the !lastic cu!s with !re!ared
gelatin.
Place gummy sharks or fish in the
gelatin.
3. Place the cu!s in the refrigerator to
set.
