TIPS

1. Give your school report a proper title. Avoid fancy title.
2. Formal language. Avoid casual language or colloquial expressions.
3. Tenses: Past Tense for reported action and Future Tense for actions to be taken.
4. Do not add unnecessary comments or your own opinions in a school report.


You are the secretary of the Social Studies Society. You have been asked to write a report of the
society’s activities throughout the year for the school magazine.

In your report, include the following:
 date, time and place of the annual general meeting
 appointment of new office bearers
 activities – trips
 talks, project.

 use all the points given
 elaborate on each of the points given
 write in paragraphs
