to accomplish Your will in
our church?”
FOUND FAITHFUL PRAYER:
OCTOBER 27: (DAY 1):
“In this manner pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom
come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
— Mathew 6:9-11
Prayer is a means of accomplishing the will of God. Pray today that God’s
will becomes the focus of every member of the Highland Terrace Baptst
Church.
OCTOBER 28: (DAY 2):
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you
will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. But seek frst the kingdom
of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”
— Mathew 6:25, 33
Pray that we can be free from the worries of this life so that we may be
focused on accomplishing God’s will in behalf of His Kingdom.
OCTOBER 29: (DAY 3):
“And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God
abides forever.”
— I John 2:17
Pray for a conscious awareness of what is passing away and what is
eternal.
OCTOBER 30: (DAY 4):
“I have fought the good fght, I have fnished the race, I have kept the faith.
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness…”
— 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Today we pray for the strength of heart and character to fnish what God
has called our church to do.
OCTOBER 31: (DAY 5):
“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you,
and to ask that you may be flled with the knowledge of His will…strengthened
with all might… for all patence and longsufering…”
— Colossians 1:9-11
Knowing God’s will for us and having the strength to accomplish it is a
great prayer to pray for one another.
NOVEMBER 1: (DAY 6):
“Brothers, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do…I press
toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 3:13-14
A recurring theme of Paul is “spiritual stck-to-itveness.” Pray that we
each will keep our eyes on the prize of Christ, the key to fnishing what
God has called us to do.
NOVEMBER 2: (DAY 7):
“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is ft for the Kingdom
of God.”
— Luke 9:62
One cannot plow a straight row looking backwards. Once we know
the will of God we cannot follow through if we are second guessing
ourselves. Pray for clear, commited, forward thinking.
NOVEMBER 3: (DAY 8):
“And without faith it is impossible to please God…”
— Hebrews 11:6
As we take this journey together, pray that we will make the steps of faith
in which God will lead us.
NOVEMBER 4: (DAY 9):
“Through Jesus, let us contnually ofer to God a sacrifce of praise…and do not
forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifces God is well
pleased.”
— Hebrews 13:15-16
Our journey of faith will lead us to sacrifces in prayer, efort and giving.
Pray that these things will be done in faith bringing great pleasure to our
God.
NOVEMBER 5: (DAY 10):
“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy naton, God’s special
possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of
darkness into His wonderful light.”
— I Peter 2:9
God has made us His people. Let us pray that we declare His praises
through our giving of our tme, our talents and our treasures. He
deserves such praise.
NOVEMBER 6: (DAY 11):
“Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel…no church
shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in
Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessites.”
— Philippians 4:15-16
The Philippians supported Paul’s ministry with multple oferings. Pray for
the spirit upon each of us to do what is needed to accomplish His will for
us.
NOVEMBER 7: (DAY 12):
“I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet
smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifce, well pleasing to God.”
— Philippians 4:18
Our oferings are sweet aromas, acceptable sacrifces, pleasing God to no
end. Pray for awareness that when we give, our gifs bring great pleasure
to God.
NOVEMBER 8: (DAY 13):
“And God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:19.
God rewards His people for their generosity. Pray for a heart of faith to
believe God and His promises to us.
NOVEMBER 9: (DAY 14):
“Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust
in uncertain riches but in the living God... Let them do good…ready to give, willing
to share…”
— I Timothy 6:17-19
We are a blessed and rich people. Pray for our readiness to give and our
willingness to share.
NOVEMBER 10: (DAY 15):
“Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their
possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.”
— Acts 2:44-45
The frst believers were found meetng together and giving as their frst
responses to their new faith. Pray that we will be like them.
NOVEMBER 11: (DAY 16):
“…that in a great trial of their aficton the abundance of their joy and their deep
poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality (generosity)…”
— 2 Corinthians 8:1-5
The Macedonian Christans were in great trial and poverty but that
did not stop the spirit of giving to the cause of Christ. Pray for a spirit
generosity for the cause of Christ.
NOVEMBER 12: (DAY 17):
“So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete this grace in
you as well. But as you abound in everything…see you abound in this grace also.”
— 2 Corinthians 8:6-7
Giving is a grace of God. Giving is a blessing God has provided us. Pray,
thankfully, today for God giving you this opportunity to give to His
church’s work.
NOVEMBER 13: (DAY 18):
“It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to
do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it…”
— 2 Corinthians 8:10-11
Paul again stresses completng the ofering they had commited
themselves to do. Pray for a steadfast mind in completng what God has
called our church to accomplish for Him.
NOVEMBER 14: (DAY 19):
“Now this is the confdence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to
His will, He hears us. And if..He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have
the pettons that we have asked of Him.”
— I John 5:14-15
Pray that God will reveal to you and your family what He wants you to
give in the “Found Faithful” program.
NOVEMBER 15: (DAY 20):
“If any one lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without
reproach, and it will be given him.”
— James 1:5
Contnue to ask God for wisdom, the knowledge of His will for you,
regarding your commitment to His Kingdom through the “Found Faithful”
program.
NOVEMBER 16: (DAY 21):
“So I am doing a great work so that I cannot come down. Why should the work
cease while I leave it and come down to you? But they sent me this message four
tmes, and I answered them in the same manner.”
— Nehemiah 6:3-4
Nehemiah’s enemies were relentless in wantng him to stop the building
of the wall of Jerusalem. He was about a great work that demanded
fulfllment. Pray for the spirit of Nehemiah to fnish the great work to
which God has called us.
NOVEMBER 17: (DAY 22):
“The people rejoiced at the willing response of the their leaders, for they had given
freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord.”
— I Chronicles 29:9.
In the ofering taken for the temple, the leaders of Israel set the tone
for generous and sacrifcial giving by their willingness to give. Pray for a
spirit of willingness to give to spread throughout our church bringing joy
to each of us.
NOVEMBER 18: (DAY 23):
“Who am I, and who are we, that we should be able to give as generously as this?
Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your
hand.”
— I Chronicles 29:14
David acknowledges that the generosity of the people has been
exceeded only by the generosity of God, who had given them their
wealth in the frst place. Pray for a spirit of generosity that truly refects
God’s generosity to us.
NOVEMBER 19: (DAY 24):
“Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple
for your Holy name comes from your hand and all of it belongs to you.”
— I Chronicles 29:16
David afrms that all that they have given has come from God’s hand.
God owns all things and we return to Him, through our giving, what is
already His. Pray that we recognize our stewardship of the resources He
has entrusted to us.
NOVEMBER 20: (DAY 25):
“For God so loved the world that He gave….”
— John 3:16
These opening words of the most popular verse in the Bible, reveal that
God is a giver to us and that He is motvated to give by His love for
us. Pray that as we give back to Him and for others, that we are also
motvated by love for God and a love for the eternal souls of people.
NOVEMBER 21: (DAY 26):
“Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will
put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.”
— Mathew 25:21
God calls us to faithfulness in the work to which He has called us
and with the resources He has entrusted to us. Pray for a spirit of
faithfulness in all things.
NOVEMBER 22: (DAY 27):
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the earth to show Himself
strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
— 2 Chronicles 16:9
God looks for a people who will have a loyal, undivided heart for Him and
His work on earth. Pray for a loyal, undivided heart.
NOVEMBER 23: (DAY 28):
“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which
you do not know.”
— Jeremiah 33:3
Today we make our commitments for our “Found Faithful” program. Ask
God to show us His great and mighty things which we have not known
so far.
