Acting Etude 1: Anger.
Lucas Grant A is male and B is female. They are fighting about a girl which B doesn’t like. The girl ironically has talked to A and B saw it and she became mad about it. A: Would you get off of my case! B: Well if you would tell me the truth from the start this would not have happened! A: I didn’t tell the truth because I thought is wasn’t necessary for you to know! B: Well it was and you lied so there. Just stop talking to me. A: I never LIED; I just didn’t tell you anything! B: Well not telling me what’s going on is just as bad. A: Well it’s hard to determine what you should know and what you shouldn’t, I don’t think I need to tell you what I ate for breakfast and if I changed my socks this morning WHICH I DID. B: Well good for you, and you know what I mean. A: No I don’t. B: Well here let me lay it all out for you. A: Thank you! B: I just want to know if you talk to that girl or not, I thought you guys were going to stop talking but I guess not. If you wanna be friends with that bitch fine but then don’t talk to me. A: I never said we were friends, she confronted ME. Not the other way around, don’t you see that? I‘ve told you that a billion times. B: Well I don’t care anymore just be her friend. A: I DON’T WANT TO BE HER FRIEND. She’s crazy. B: You don’t have to tell me. A: I want to be your friend. B: Well then you better start acting like it. A: I do! And when I screw up I always admit it. B: Well don’t why don’t you admit you just screwed up? A: That’s what I am doing right now, but I wasn’t in the wrong. I was defenseless.
B: Don’t give me that crap. A: well it’s true and you know it! B: Whatever. A: Well can we just “kiss kiss make up?” B: No. A: Why? I’ve apologized a billion times, I’ve done everything short of begging you to date me. B: Fine. A: Really? Just like that? B: Yea sure whatever. A: You love me to much to hate me don’t you? B: Mabye … A: YES! B: Fine yes! A: Then let’s go back to the way things were. B: Ok. A: Yay! B: Gay. A: HEY! B: I’m kidding. A: Of course you were. B: I was! A: I know. (Smiles) The two kids walk off holding hands and smiling. Scene.
