Gasmask Research Page

The gas mask is a mask used primarily to protect the user from inhaling airborne
pollution and deadly toxic gases. The mask has a sealed cover over the nose and
mouth, but may also cover the eyes and other vulnerable spots on the face. The
user of the gas mask is not protected from gas that the skin can absorb which is
why most modern gas masks cover the entirety of the face. Most gas mask filters
are known to last around 24 hours in an NBC (nuclear biological chemical)
situation.
