Taylor Swift Biography

Early Life
Details
Taylor was born on December 5, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Her parents are Scott Kingsley Swift and Andrea (née Finlay),
and she has a younger brother named Austin Swift.

Education
When Taylor very young, she was raised on a Christmas tree farm, where she went to Alvernia
Montessori School, run by nuns, and was later educated at the Wyndcroft School, a co-ed private

Interests
Taylor was very interested in musical theatre and horse riding. She competed in many events and
horse shows. Swift was passionate about singing and took as many opportunities as she could, in
order to sing.

Career
When she was fourteen she moved to Nashville in pursuit of her
career as a country singer. She joined an artist development program
when she was 12. She then started doing such things as - modelling
for Abercrombie and Finch, in order to boost her fame.

First Recording Contract
When she was fifteen she caught the attention of a DreamWorks
executive, who wanted to sign her. Her songs slowly started to come
on the radio, and many other radio station.

First Album
Her first album was- Taylor Swift, in 2006 it was released. It included such songs as, Teardrops on my
guitar, and Tim McGraw.

Second Album
When she turned sixteen she released her second album - Fearless, in November 2008. Many people
liked her instantly, and soon Taylor Swift was a household name. She wrote most of the songs by
herself, and co-wrote the others.

Third Album
Two years later she released her third album- Speak Now, in October 2010. At this point some
people forgot about her, but her fan base still remained strong. Some of the songs included in this
album are- Ours, Mine, and Mean.

Fourth Album
Her fourth album- Red was released October 2012. This album increased her fan base majorly, and
many of the songs topped the charts. Some of these songs were- I knew you were trouble, 22, and
we are never ever getting back together.

Fifth Album
The fifth album, and her most recent album- 1989, was released October 2014. The album was
named after the year she was born, and includes chart toppings singles such as- Shake it off, Out of
the woods, and Welcome to New York.
