01//SCENARIO
HARISH

Meet Harish.

Harish is our friendly neighborhood

undergrad student who has some
experience with basic animation on a
Lightbox.

He wants to learn more about animation as

a part time activity but hates the scanning
part of his workflow.
01//SCENARIO
HARISH

His existing workflow (in a traditional

light-box based environment) is:

Draw

Flip and check movement

Scan

Check movement in software

Make corrections by Inserting/Deleting

frames
01//SCENARIO
HARISH

He is looking for a change in the workflow

without having to spend too much time in
learning new softwares and going through
huge operating manuals.

Enter the Lunchbox.

Harish sets up his workspace and turns on main power, and the lights, subsequently
selecting if he wants top, bottom or both lights to be on. He then sets up the camera
zoom and focus. (All these tasks have been grouped together according to the
sequence of use commonly found during user study. These are one time tasks and
hence have been located at the top right corner.)

Harish then continues to set up his paper and other stationary that he needs and
finally draws his first frame. He hits capture to capture the frame in the embedded
lunchbox present inside his light-box. The screen changes to 00002 and indicates that
it is automatically capturing x2 (repeating every frame twice).
The feedback for the frame he just captured is shown on screen for 2 seconds giving
him a visual confirmation of the frame that was captured.
