Using all colors from one half of the color wheel

Monochromatic
One color with various amounts of dark and light

Analogous
Three colors right next to each other on the color
wheel. It will always include at least one tertiary color

Triad
Three hues equally spaced (Triangle)

Complimentary
Colors across from each other
(opposites)

Split-Complementary
Instead of using the compliment of a color, use the
two colors adjacent to the complimentary (Y)

Double-Complimentary
Two sets of complimentary colors (X or Rectangle)
