For my questionnaire the majority
all of the people I asked were aged
between 10 and 28, in the results of
my questionnaire I can see that ages
of the people asked were very varied
but particularly higher for age
groups that are between 16-20 and
21-28.
This means that majority of the
audience can be considered as
‘young adults’

2.- Gender
Asking the audience about their
gender can help me know how to
increase sells and ratings by
approaching the right audience. In
this diagram it is shown how the
majority of the people asked to
answer this questionnaire were
males, then again, it is important to
consider that the number of females
is also relatively large which means
that the magazine should appeal
both genders in order to sell more.

The results of my questionnaire
prove to me that apart from
classic music, the ranges of
audience that enjoy listening to
Pop, Rock and Indie music are
considerably similar, which
draws me to the idea of
combining the Rock and Indie
Genre in order to attract a larger
amount of costumers that would
buy a magazine of this two
genres.

4.- Do you enjoy reading music magazines?

11

Yes

No

Even though a large amount of the
questioned people said no to whether
they enjoy reading music magazines, the
majority of the audience does like to
spend their time reading music
magazines, which is why it is necessary
to produce as otherwise there would be
an empty gap in the market.

Out of 16 people that answer this
questionnaire only ONE said that he/she
didn’t download music online. This
proves that around a 94% of the
questioned audience tend to download
free music online possibly instead of
buying CD’s.
With these results now I know that
adding a FREE CD to the magazine might
be attractive to costumers, as they
wouldn’t have to pay in order to listen to
their favourite music.

6.-How often do you read magazines?

I decided to add regularity in my
questionnaire in order to see the
percentage of music magazine readers
that were interested in acquiring the
magazine on their regular basis.
The results of the questionnaire prove
that most of the costumers do not
buy/read music magazines too often.
This results indicate me that in order
to increase sells, special offers/articles
must be included to attract costumers
attention.

Even though majority of people asked
said ‘No’ to being interested in new
artists, a very considerable number of
people said ‘Yes’, which means that
new artists should definitely be
included, but definitely not be covered
by the main article or otherwise the
magazine wont attract those
uninterested.

Fortunately, costumers seem to enjoy
all the parts that are included in the
magazine, which means that I can
include a variety of articles including
news, specific articles and interactive
activities in order to keep the readers
entertained.

To even widen the variety of articles to
include in the magazine I asked readers
if they would enjoy answering quizzes
and questionnaires included in
magazines, preferably directly related to
the genre chosen. This would increase
the attention from the readers.

The results of my questionnaire
showed me that the magazine needs
to have interesting articles throughout
the magazine and they need to be
properly distributed in order to keep
readers interested whilst reading
through as the results of the
questionnaire shows that people read
either all of the magazine or only
specific articles, and for those who are
more focused into reading specific
articles, if these are properly
distributed, they would have to look
through for them and get drawn by
other sections of the magazine. (e.g:
Interactive activities)
