Desiring evil things/Desiring good things

Genesis 3:1-6 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Attributes in tree/in wrong things—something pleasurable. But Elohiym knows the end of it: death. Serpent same today – saying we can find happiness in something that is not right, making disobedience look desirable. The body isn’t bad itself, but satan has us serve it, desire it. 1 Corinthians 10:1-6 “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.” They set their hearts on evil things, were not content with what Elohiym provided. -The hope of the New Testament – the promise that Elohiym gives us new desires. He puts these in our hearts; we need to cultivate them. If we lack these things, i know we can come to Him and ask Him, and He will give us these good desires.
