Objective:
As the final portion of this unit you will be expected to create a finished composition using a mix of
products developed in the previous assignments and new work developed for the purposes of this piece.
The objective will be you to develop a composition on a minimum 3x3 cardboard canvas in the style
of a much abused graffiti wall. The emphasis in this assignment will be on experimentation and
composition while employing elements of collage, typography and texture.
Materials:
Considerations:
Employ products created in the previous assignments, such as your stencils, bomber tag, and
personalized tag
Consider trading stencils with other students and employing these in your composition, consider
collecting bomber tags from your classmates
Explore the use of texture and layering, do not be afraid of incorporating defects and surface
qualities into your composition
Consider employing wheat pastes in your composition
Make use of text in your composition, consider employing the text on your cardboard in an
interesting fashion
Assessment:
Your piece will be assessed according to the standard rubric, see the reverse side for details.
