Task 2: Reading
Read the article given in Appendix B and answer the questions that follow.
1.

The main agenda, green driving will lead to reduce in carbon emissions. Less carbon
emissions will bring positive impact on the environment perseveres.

2.

i) Planning the trip when driving a car will ensure that the shortest route. Shortest route
and planned trip will result in less fuel burnt and also avoiding unwanted fuel burning.
ii) Sharing cars with fellow friends to a destination could brought down the usage of
number of cars. Since a car could fit about five persons, it will be better the places
fitted other that left empty.
iii) Maintaining the steady speed on the road will ensure that the engine is burning same
amount of fuel during the rids. So that unnecessary fuel burning due to speed could
be overcome.

Regular maintenance will ensure the car engine and its parts of engine to work better.
Well maintained engine will burn less fuel to power the car. Less fuel mean less carbon
emissions.

Task 3 : Summary
The ways to practise green driving
The way to practise green driving is check the air pressure on your tires. By this way,
tires will properly inflated and can reduce the amount of fuel. We can save money on fuel
expenditures. Besides that, another way to practise green driving is carpool. Carpooling help
us to saving money, and getting to spend some quality time with carpoolers. A planned trip
more efficient routes and less resources being used by driving. We also have to repair air
conditioner has a leaks immediately. Furthermore, we must maintaining the steady speed on
the road when do highway driving. Finally stop idling to save fuel.
