Holy Trinity be praised. Give thanks unto God.

Verse I:
God rest you merry, gentlemen, let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas Day;
To save us all from Satan's power when we were gone astray,
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.
Verse 2:
From God our heav’nly Father a blessed angel came,
And unto certain shepherds brought tidings of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born the Son of God by name,
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.
Verse 3:
Now to the Lord sing praises, all you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas all others doth deface,
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.
O Come All Ye Faithful am. Alice Parker
(Audience please join on verses 1 and 4)
Verse 1:
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, 0 come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold him, born the King of angels;
O come, let us adore him, o come, let us adore him,
O come let us adore him, Christ the Lord!
Verse 4:
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning,
Jesus, to Thee be glory giv’n;
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.

Carmen ParkYouth Choir of Central Oregon
Celebrating its 25th season in 2014-2015, the Youth Choir of Central Oregon
(YCCO) is the region’s preeminent extra-curricular choral program. It provides
advanced vocal experiences for talented first through twelfth grade students with
unchanged singing voices in three choirs: Singers School, Debut Choir and
Premiere Choir. The major goals of the YCCO are to provide opportunities for
musical expression and personal development in a supportive and joyful
environment, Founded in 1990 by Beth Basham, the YCCO has enriched the lives of
thousands of young Central Oregon singers with quality music education. Beth and
her staff have expanded children’s minds and musical abilities to make them leaders
in their schools while showing audiences that children’s voices can be sophisticated,
profoundly musical and artistically excellent,
As ambassadors of music, YCCO singers share their gifts with people around the
world and learn to appreciate diverse cultures while representing our community,
state and country. Past YCCO tours have included Canada, Hawaii, Greece,
England, Chicago, New Orleans and New York City. In June of 2015, YCCO will
tour Italy with a highlighted performance at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
Beth Basham
As an experienced public school music teacher for nearly forty years, Beth
Basham brings vision and an infectious enthusiasm for singing to her students. Her
choirs have achieved state, national and international recognition and acclaim. Beth
has served as an adjudicator and clinician at choral festivals throughout the Pacific
Northwest. She received her BA in Music Performance and Education from
California State University, Northridge. Her professional musical career has
included membership in the Seattle Symphony Chorale and solo experience with the
Cascade Chorale and Central Oregon Symphony.
Central Oregon Mastersingers
“A Family Christmas” also marks the start of a landmark year for the Central
Oregon Mastersingers, as they begin their 10th season. This is the second time the
Youth Choir and the Mastersingers have joined forces, having collaborated in 2007
for a program entitled “From Generation to Generation.”
The Mastersingers have collaborated with several other organizations as well
during the past nine years, including the Eugene Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Cascade
Chorale, Central Oregon Symphony, Bells of Sunriver, and several of our area’s
finest jazz musicians. They have appeared twice with the Sunriver Music Festival
Orchestra, in a performance of Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony” in 2012, and inMendelssohn’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” and Vaughan Williams’ “Serenade to
Music” this past summer,
On February 28, 2015, the Mastersingers will present a “Singers’ Choice
Retrospective Concert,” for which members of the choir have chosen some of their
favorite works performed over the past nine years. In March they will be
collaborating in concert with the choirs of Summit High School, Mountain View
High School, and Crook County High School. Smaller ensembles from the ranks of
the Mastersingers will be also be visiting and performing for several other school
choirs throughout Central Oregon. In June, 2015, the Mastersingers will close the
season with a “Tenth Anniversary Showcase Concert,” collaborating with the
Terpsichorean Dance Studio of Bend in a performance of the choral masterwork
“Lamentations of Jeremiah” by Alberto Ginastera, with original choreography by
Dee Dee Burzynski.
Clyde Thompson
The Mastersingers’ founder and director, Clyde Thompson, is active in Central
Oregon as an adjudicator and clinician. He is a published composer, and currently
serves on the Board of the Sunriver Music Festival. This past spring the
Mastersingers and the Central Oregon Symphony collaborated in the premiere of
Thompson’s concert-length cantata, “We Have Spoken - Voices from Native
America,” for orchestra and chorus. His compositions have received performances
in Europe, South America, and Canada, in addition to the United States,
