>> Strive to make your means of communication reach students better,
keeping up to date with trends

Graphics Design

>> Adhere strictly to the Global Cru Style
Guide and IU Cru Style Guide
>> Create visually appealing and insightful
graphics in social media and website
formats
>> Prepare all slides for Crus large weekly
meeting, events, and retreats
>> Initiate communication with directors
of the weekly meeting, events, and
retreats to ensure you have enough
time to complete all slides and that the
information is accurate
>> Team leader is to hold a monthly
meeting to inspire, encourage, solve
problems, and bring new ideas
>> Team leader is to individually instruct
members with tips, articles, or personal
lessons to make sure all photographers
are growing in their skills
>> Attend monthly Graphics Design

are growing in their skills
>> Team leader is to schedule enough
photographers for events, and edit
photographs after event

Crus Official Facebook page within 48
hours after event

communication with directors of parties,
events, meetings, etc. to ensure videos
are made as requested

Website
>> 1 Year Prior Experience
>> Average 3 Hrs. Per Week
>> To weekly update calendar,
sliders, feeds, audio, and
reread published blogs
>> To check bugs and links
once a semester
>> Be the voice for the website,
intiating meeting slides around
breaks and events for students
to continually use the website
as a resource
>> Communciate with the MTLs,
ensuring their vision for the
website becomes reality

PrayerHub

Communications Assistant

>> Attend Prayer meeting weekly
>> Initiate communication with directors
of the weekly meeting, events, and
retreats to gather prayer requests
>> Use a variety of avenues, ensuring students
a wide range of ways to pray, be still, and
let the Lord revive their spirits
>> Be the voice for the PrayerHub, intiating
meeting slides around breaks and events
for students to continually use it as a
resource

>> 1 Year of Appropriate Prior Experience


>> Average 8 Hrs. Per Week
>> Attend the Cru Team weekly meeting as a liasion, giving
insight to the Team and within 48 hours, communicating
new information to Communications Director
>> Nightly look at official Cru social media to ensure posts are
made and align with IU Cru Style Guide and Crus voice
>> Weekly meeting with Communications Director to
make decisions, align steps, report on how team is doing,
and preparing for coming week and month
>> Attend monthly Communications Team Meeting
>> Proofread blogs, initiating contact with Blog writers to do so
>> Initiate contact with event leaders a month before event,
ensuring their requests are accurate and complete
>> Schedule photographers, if there is no Lead Photographer
>> If team members are not posting announcements or
promotions, and are not responding, post for them and
hold that information until the weekly meeting with the
Communications Director
>> Above all, initiate, communicate, and be a self-starter.
Always asking the Director how you can help, what else
needs to be done, and keeping good self-discipline to always
be on time and stay on top of duties
>> Take minutes at monthly meetings and Cru Team meetings

>> 1 Year of Appropriate Prior Experience


>> Average 10 Hrs. Per Week
>> Lead new member workshops, ensuring the IU Cru Style Guide,
CruGlobal Style Guide, and Crus Voice will be followed, and that
volunteers understand their responsibilities, resources, and
the Communications and Cru missions
>> Lead monthly meetings to inspire, instruct, encourage, and
consult with team leaders for new media campaigns. This is also
a place to keep team members accountable to each other.
Every once in a while, looking at a platform and seeing what can be
better. Always have a devotional.
>> Keep up to date on all trends for Communications platforms,
ensuring the team is keeping to them and always progressing
>> Research and prepare manuals, job descriptions, and other
information that would be helpful for team leaders to use
>> Attend weekly Shepherd Team meetings as the Communications
liasion, giving insight and ideas
>> Meet weekly with Communications Assistant, making decisions,
strategically planning a few weeks to a month in advance, solving
problems within team, and delegating duties
>> Be the voice of the Big Picture: that students are won, built, and
sent through Communications platforms for the Lord... bringing
new ideas and setting the pace for what the team will do to reach
that goal each semester
>> Lead other team meetings if there is no team leader
>> Meet with each group once a semester to ensure quality and new
ideas are always churning

Weekly meetings, Fall Retreat, Spring Retreat, IndyCC or Spring Break,
campus outreaches and other all in events such as Spring and Fall Outreaches

Do so foremost seeking for the Lord to show up and work; not the hands of men.
