Chapter 5
He attacked, but Ed was faster, he picked me up and jumped to another tree before
he could reach us. The wolf growled, and started sniffing around the tree, eyes still
glowing red. He was looking for us, which was obvious…as for the reason why, I
was too scared to ask. Then he stopped, he didn’t move he just stood there. But
then he slowly began to turn he head our way, yet he didn’t look up his head was
down. But that didn’t stop his eyes from moving up. He was looking right at us,
no, he was looking at me, and only me. I was already shaking badly as is; this just
made it worse, because I was stupid enough to look in his eyes. His eyes had that
fresh blood color in them; he looked like he enjoyed the thought of killing. There
was more, his eyes were filled with hatred, anger, and the greed for power. He was
staring at me, and I swear I saw the edge of his lip move up. I mean I know he’s a
wolf an well, wolves can’t smirk…right? Next thing I know there was this massive
pack of pain, running threw my body, like I had just been stabbed in the back, and
I had to control myself from screaming. The pain was unbearable, and Ed tried to
see what was wrong without him looking. His speed was incredible, a normal
human wouldn’t be able to see him run that fast, even I had trouble catching up,
but the point is he left, an my pain was disappearing.
“Well that made me almost pee in my pants, ha-ha. What about you.” He said
trying to cheer me up, or that’s what I would’ve thought. But it was clear to me
that he saw and knew exactly what just happened was trying to avoid it.
“Who was that?” I asked in my best firm voice, but my body was still shaking
hard, and I was starting to get a headache.
“Oh that thing, I don’t know, but he sure did scare me. Sure that was your dad or-
“Dammit stop lying Edward!” I snapped. “You know good and well what the hell
is going on, you said you plan on turning me into one of you right, which means
I’m becoming part of this family. So don’t you dare lie to me, I want to know
everything.” He looked shocked but he sighed in defeat.
“Ok but first turn back human, they won’t be able to track us as much that way.” I
gave him an evil look that said ‘What the hell do you really think I know how to do
that’.
“Ok just calm down…” I shot a quick look at him, (don’t you hate it when you’re
really mad and someone tells you to calm down). “Sorry, just think about home,
your human life. Think about something peaceful from then.”
“I was locked up in my room for years, and barley had any friends, I really don’t
have anything peaceful to think about.”
“Well, you always think about when we first met.” I looked at him, an saw this
huge smirk on his face, I couldn’t help but smile back at him. I took a deep breath,
an closed my eyes to think, of course I remember everything. His kindness towards
me, his hugs…his kisses.
“You can open your eyes now.” He said smiling as if he read my mind. I looked
down and saw that I was wearing a short black dress. It was a deep v-neck, but not
too deep, and the sleeves were long an stretched down my hands. There was a
sparkly black belt that lay diagonal on my waist, with broad high heel boots.
“Damn.” I looked up at him an boy was he staring; I could feel my face heating up
so I tried to get him back on the subject.
“Ok I’m human again, now why was that wolf looking for us, what does he want?”
“He’s my father.”
“What? How is he your father, isn’t your dad back at the house?”
“No the guy you met earlier is my step-dad.” He said.
“I’m confused.”
“My real father is that wolf you saw just now, him and my mother were married
until he tried to start a war between humans and demons. He left us when I was
five, and my mother got remarried.”
“I see, but what does he want with me?” I said.
“I don’t know yet, there are lots of things he could use you for that’s why I want
you have to stay away from him.”
“Ok I will.” Not like I wanted to get near him in the first place.
“So uh, what were you thinking about before you turned human.” He said. I could
feel my face getting hot. So we walked back to camp, Edward told them what
happened. An after that everyone seemed quiet, except for Edwards mother who
scared/surprised the heck out of us.
“Let’s go on vacation!” She yelled.
“Right now?” We said.
“Yep I’ve already got our ride, should be here right…” A helicopter came down,
right on time.
“Alright get in.” she said. Man his mom is random. We didn’t have a choice but to
get in.
“So where are we going?” I said.
“I have a beach house we can go to, I think it’s about time we relax a little, too
much is going on right now.” She smiled warmly at me and I was starting to think
she was a pretty cool mom. Until she yelled at the driver, and slapped him upside
his head for not driving fast enough.
We got on the plane; our stuff was already packed for us, so all we had to do was
find our seats. I sat by Kako, Ed an Kazume were a seat behind us. I turned around
now and then an saw Ed staring at me a couple of times. Apparently Kako and
Trunks were doing the same thing, because now all 4 of us were staring at each
other. I nudge Kako on the side, and she mumbled under her breath for me to shut
up. While Kazume was in the bathroom, and Kako talked to the waiter about what
food they had for us to eat, I noticed two girls were checking Edward out. But he
didn’t seem to notice; in fact he just laid there with the most adorable sleeping face
ever. I saw them getting ready to wake him up, without thinking I rushed over to
the empty seat beside him. I couldn’t really think of anything to say or do, and I
could see them glaring at me from the side of my eye. So I took out my cell phone
to take pictures. Next thing I know my hand was grabbed and I’m staring at him
face to face.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he said.
“Um…nothing.” Next thing I know, he grabs me, an tickles me taking random
pictures of me at my worst (sadly most of them were ones with my mouth open).
We were both laughing, and I noticed the girls still glaring at me. I stuck my
tongue out at them, and they flipped their hair an turned around. Ed had his hands
around my waist, with my head laying on his. We looked at each other an kissed,
and then I heard someone cough. I figured it was the girls so I ignored them, but it
came again. An I looked an saw Kako and Kazume staring at us.
“Having fun?” she said
“Lots.” I said.
“Well I’m not.” We all turned around and saw Edwards mother standing right
beside us. Oh crap. I got up and quickly moved to my seat while Kako was
laughing at me. But she wasn’t just looking at me, Kazume was like a son to her,
so Kako was in just as much trouble as me, because Kazume was standing behind
her with his hands around her waist. Obviously those two were having a little fun
on their own as well.
So we finally made it, we didn’t have to worry about our luggage, because Ed’s
mom flirted with some men, to get them to take care of it. Then she looked at us
with a look that said ‘Tell my husband about this and I’ll roast you all alive’, with
that we just avoided eye contact. I didn’t have a swimsuit of my own so, me and
Kako went shopping. She wore this red halter top bikini, with her hoop earrings,
and I wore a light blue lacey bikini with a short skirt, an black bows on the side. I
don’t even need to describe what Ed and Kazume were wearing. They were hot
and buff and that’s all we cared about.
“Nice.” He said smirking, oh wow my face got red.
“Thanks, you’re not bad yourself.” I said.
“Nice trunks Kazume, how are you doing?” Kako said trying to hide the fact that
she kept checking him out, obviously she wasn’t very good at it, I mean she
looking up, and down.
“Thanks, I’m just fine.” He said.
“Yes boy, yes you are.” She mumbled to herself, and Kazume lifted up an eyebrow
with a huge grin.
“What?”
“Nothing”
“Ah snap.” I said.

“Hey! You guys can stare at each other pretty places later, but if you want your
room keys come and get it now.” Edwards mom interrupt, ok even though they had
a beach house Edwards mother clearly told us that that was for her and her husband
only, and that we would have to check into a hotel.
“My room number is 247, Kako?” I said.
“247! Were roommates!” She said giving me a high five.
“Wait, did you say 247? We’re room 247.” Edward said pointing to him and
Kazume. We noticed that his mother had strangely disappeared. Then they saw a
little note taped on my back. Kako read it.
“The hotel ran out of room, and there was only one room left, so unless you want
to sleep outside, you’ll have to share a room. So suck it up, and don’t complain!
Love Mother.” Me and Kako stood there blushing, with our backs facing the guys,
and I swear I heard them bring up something about practicing for a honey moon…
