Yes / No Questions Verb to be

If we say something positive in English then we use sentences like this:


He is busy today.
They are happy today.
I am tired.
When we form a question using the verb to be we change the order of the
words:
to be + subject + object
Is he busy today? Yes, he is. / No, he isnt. (busy)
Are they happy today? Yes, they are. / No they arent. (happy)
Are you tired? Yes, I am. / No, Im not. (tired)
It is acceptable to just use a short response. It is not necessary to repeat
certain words in the answer. If the person wants to know more they will
just ask you another question!
