This early shot already shows enigma code because we are unaware of what has happened to this person and who/what caused it.
This shot could be showing us Derridas
theory that one of the binary oppositions has more value than the other because the note suggests the main character has done something wrong which makes us feel possibly sympathetic to who/whatever left the note. It is also another enigma code as we are left wondering what hes done. This shot furthers Derridas theory because the mise on scene gives the impression that someone or something is angry with the main guy so has knocked chairs over etc. which makes us think that he has done something wrong to cause this.
This shot shows Barthes theory as the
enigma is who/what is behind the glass and why are they there? This also shows more of Derridas theory because it looks as though there is blood on the hand of the person behind the glass which suggests something traumatic may have happened to them and ultimately evokes sympathy from the viewer.
This shows another example of Barthes
theory as we are left wondering why he is going to die because of someone and what
