ANGEL BASICS – PART 1 

Accessing ANGEL 

1. Point your web browser (Firefox 2.x+ or Internet Explorer 7) to

http://angel.lwtc.edu

3. Type in your username and password. Your username is your SID, your initial
password is the first 5 characters of your last name.

The first page you see when you log in is called your ANGEL home page. You come
here to switch between different course you are a part of or receive personal messages
in ANGEL.

Navigation in ANGEL 

The buttons down the left of your browser window are as follows:

Home: This button will take you back to your Home Page
The Power Button: use this to log out of ANGEL
The Question mark: Find online ANGEL help
The little sun icon: You shouldn’t see this, it’s an admin. tool
The Folder: This is the faculty repository location to store course related
materials
The wrench (or hammer/wrench/person’s head): This is to set your
preferences like change your password.
Another key item to your Home
page is courses. This indicates
the courses you have access to
and the role or relationship you
play in that course. The Role
will generally be Instructor or
Student.
