OCR Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) (Level 4)

Duration: 5 days intensive training (or study at your own pace by undertaking blended learning or distance learning)
OVERVIEW
Whether you are an existing or prospective trainer, teacher or lecturer delivering programmes to learners over the age of 16,
PTLLS (level 4) provides the generic skills needed to plan, prepare and deliver effective sessions. The programme also gives an
insight into assessment strategies to use with different kinds of learners and to adjust teaching, learning and assessment
strategies to meet their individual needs.
PTLLS (level 4) is a widely accepted teaching qualification across the public and private further education and training sectors. It
demonstrates that lecturers or trainers are competent to use tools and techniques to plan, prepare, deliver and assess a course
based on their specialism. Participants who successfully complete PTLLS (level 4) can progress on to CTLLS and DTLLS.
PTLLS (level 4) is an OCR qualification. OCR is one of the largest awarding organisations in the UK. Before commencing the PTLLS
