Lesson: Let + Object + Verbs

Materials: White board, markers, PowerPoint presentation, treats, and bingo sheets.
Anticipated problems for Teacher:
The lesson may turn out to be boring to the Ss because its only about a grammar
structure of: Let+ object +verb.
Solution: T will spunk up the lesson by playing games to solidify the concept of
the Ss and make the lesson enjoyable.

Objectives:
Advance level students are able to do the following:
1. Use let +object+ verb effectively in a sentence
2. Familiarity with the grammar structure.
3. Say the form fluently

Anticipated problems for Students:


1. Ss may have trouble differentiating between subjective pronouns and
objective pronouns to put before the verb.
Solution: T will present a chart with a list of objective pronouns that will be
paired with verbs to help students throughout.

T will present prepared chart on the board that will contain all objective pronouns in it.

T will instruct the Ss to make sentence out of the object pronouns given on the board.
Ten Ss will be chosen to read out their sentences to the class.
T will then ask Ss to volunteer and refer the objective pronouns to entities.

T will let the Ss know that they will be playing Object Pronoun & Verb Bingo
T will distribute pronoun bingo sheets to each Ss.
T will instruct the Ss to sit individually and place a small piece of a paper on the sheet for each pronoun that the T calls out.
The winner will have to cover a whole row, column or diagonal row of words.
T will ask Ss ICQs to check if they know the game.

T will present a PowerPoint slide that will have the grammatical structure of the topic and also, T will present sample
sentences under the grammatical structure.

T will ask Ss to read the sample sentence out loud . This will ensure that Ss will be able to say the let+object+verb form
fluently.

T will play a game with the Ss and the game will be called Board Run
T will instruct the Ss to do the following:
T will divide Ss into two groups as Team A and Team B.
Ss will be required to send one member of each team to the front.
T will name an objective pronoun.
Ss will be required to run to the board and write a sentence using the Let+ Object+ Verb form.
Whichever team completes their sentence first will get a point.

T will wrap the game up by tallying both teams scores. The winning team will be rewarded with treats.
