Seasonal demand lifts IBB index. Used cars price index registers a 200 basis points increase over
the earlier month.
The market continued to experience an uptick in used passenger vehicle demand with the onset of festive season
which pulled more consumers to used car outlets across the country. This has resulted in a sharp 200 basis points
increase in the IBB Index.
IBB forecasts that the share of sales of used diesel cars which increased sharply over the last 2 years and reached
an all time high is expected to reverse. New car dealers evaluating Trade-ins of diesel cars need to tread cautiously
and refer to IBB for guidance.
