Dear Friends,
Greetings from YWAM Butuan and YWAM Surigao!
You might already know about Youth With A Mission (YWAM) but you may be interested to know that
YWAM is an international and interdenominational Christian mission organization dedicated to knowing
Jesus Christ and making Him known throughout the world. Founded in 1960, it is now one of the largest
Christian missions with over 18,000 volunteer staff and affiliated workers based in more than 180 countries
around the world.
We are really excited and thankful to the Lord for opening the way for us to host our first YWAM
Discipleship Training School (DTS), planned to be held in Butuan City, commencing July 1, 2015.
A YWAM DTS is an intensive training experience consisting of a 14 week Lecture Phase and an 8 week
Outreach Phase . Students are exposed to a range of topics designed to challenge them in their relationship
with God, and to give them a deeper understanding of His Word and call in their lives. Then, a purpose of
the Outreach Phase is to put this training into practice through real-life missionary experience and lifestyle.
The YWAM DTS in Butuan has been made possible by combining the qualifications, experiences and
strengths of the staff from both YWAM Surigao and YWAM Butuan.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your partnership through all your prayers
and support for the ministries God has entrusted to us in Butuan and Surigao cities. We have certainly seen
God's hand working through us and in us to be able to fulfill His divine purposes in both of our cities.
The Christian journey is full of excitement and challenges, and we believe 2015 is set to test us and draw us
closer to our great God, as we rely upon His goodness, loving guidance and faithful provision.
HOWEVER, we desperately need your assistance. Your valued help will: enable more people to be reached
in our various ministry areas of focus; provide important Biblical training and practical experience to
potential future leaders; and help those desiring to know God at a deeper level. God willing, these will be
achieved through the holding of our first YWAM DTS, held in Butuan City.
WILL YOU PARTNER WITH US IN PRAYER FOR THIS DTS?
We highly value your commitment to regularly pray for this School. This is a vital partnership for the success
of a DTS. Please uphold this ministry before the Lord in your prayers. Will you please do that for us?
WILL YOU PLEASE PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER GIVING TOWARDS THIS DTS AND/OR ITS SET-UP COSTS?
Any amount will be gratefully received.
