-TW read Officer Buckle and Gloria by Peggy Rathmann.
-TW ask students to review the rules that were in the story and
brainstorm some rules for our class.
TW record students responses on the StarBoard.
3. GUIDED PRACTICE/EXPLORATION/ACTIVITY (10 min.)
-Teacher and students will make a "Who's Following the Rules" minibook.
----TSW need to match pictures to rules as well as if they are following
them or not

4. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE (15 min.)


-TW have students complete a rules/laws fact sort with their family.
-TW ask students to write 1 rule and 1 law they came up with on star badges.
-TW have students place the badges around an image of Officer Buckle and Gloria.

-SW review the rules that were in the


story and will brainstorm some rules for
our class.
