The Gaucho Gazette, Casa Grande’s award winning newspaper, produces a paper on
a monthly basis. Being part of the paper’s staff requires both time in class and out of class on
deadlines.

Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
Tomorrow’s Leaders Today is a program that teaches and promotes leadership
qualities in all individuals by showing students the pieces of a community and how community
members use leadership qualities.

● Students attend class and learn about a theme that ties in with
the community. For example, students attended an agricultural
day, where students learned about how Sonoma County grows
their food, and also a law enforcement day, where students
learned about police officers, bombsquad, etc.

Marin Youth Court
The Marin Youth Court practices restorative justice by giving offenders a chance to be
judged by their peers.

Summer Student Intern 2013
● Completed a paid student internship under the medicine
department in Petaluma working 40 hours a week.
● Helped the manager with paperwork and also shadowed the
medical assistants, nurses, and doctors
● Learned about issues relating to health care like compliance and
confidentiality
● Learned about medical procedures and various medical
positions including EMTs, MRI/CT technicians, etc.

Pets for Life is an animal shelter in Sonoma County that accepts dogs and cats.

The homeless shelter offers lunch and dinner and shelter to the needy.
