Self: understand and apply the principles of reflective piece and to

recognize of their importance in healthcare. Plan: make a conscious
effort to write more regularly in the journal that I started at the
beginning of this year.
Knowledge: understanding the etiology, pathology, symptoms, signs,
natural history and prognosis of illnesses. Plan: learning, keeping up to
date and revising the theory taught in lectures, tutorials and workshops
Patients: ability to communicate with patients from diverse
backgrounds. Plan: see and interact with as many patients as possible
in the hospital setting, especially embracing opportunities to learn from
patients of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
Medical profession: ability to give effective feedback to peers to
promote improvement. Plan: embracing opportunities to offer
constructive feedback to classmates within and outside of the
classroom setting and also asking for feedback from peers.
Society: understanding the burden of disease in differing populations
and geographic locations. Plan: I hope to be able to go on elective in a
developing nation or rural community to gain insight into the
differences between the provision and quality of healthcare in other
regions.
System of healthcare: understanding the principles of continuity &
