After the war, there were many ethnic groups however they did not trust one another and
were suspicious of one another even though they made up the country. The country was
made up of six republics and many different populations all throughout.
Why was Tito important in Yugoslavia?
Tito was keeping the country together before Sloban got there. He was more liked mainly
because he wasn't killing many innocent people.

What were Milosevics goals in Yugoslavia?


To kill anyone who wasn't Serbian if they refused to leave. He only wanted Serbians in
Serbia and was trying to cut down on immigration.

The Muslim population was heavily targeted throughout the ethnic cleansing.

What happened in Srebenica?


The women in children left the country, while the men stayed and were killed and buried in
large graves.

What does this incident suggestion about European leadership and the role of the UN?
It shows the ineffectiveness of the UN and how late they were to respond. The UN
leadership was unable to take control of the situation and it got out of hand.

Bill Clinton eventually made peace in Bosnia.

The map would show that it was controlled 70% by Serbian Military.

Describe 2 problems Bosnia is facing today


They are unsure who will be leading this country along with the prime minister. They also
have a very poor economy and a low standard of living which needs to be improved.
