KUCHING BUILD PROGRAMME

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit Christian housing organisation that seeks to eliminate
poverty housing worldwide and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Habitat for Humanity seeks to partner with those of all faiths, ethnicity, backgrounds and
professions in a desire to create a world without poverty housing.
Habitat Programmes
Habitat for Humanity programmes offer a life-transforming experience, both for the
volunteers and for the home-partners whose homes the volunteers help build. Our objectives
usually met through new relationships team members formed with their host affiliates. By
working together with the host community, participants have an opportunity to personally
witness and contribute to Habitats effort to eliminate substandard housing throughout the
world.
Kuching Build
The Kuching Build (KB) programme is a series of short-term trips designed to provide an
opportunity for participants who are keen to volunteer but are unable to take a long leave of
absence. Builds can be as short as 1 day to a maximum of 3 days build. Participants have to
