Help us address the media and demand adequate funding for the
New York City Housing Authority! The Governors budget
proposal included a mere $25 million for NYCHA while the
Senates budget proposal offered nothing for the Authority or its
residents. Help us spread the word that these facts and figures are
unacceptable.
Under Housing Chairman Wrights leadership, the Assembly
allotted a minimum of $125 million in state funding for NYCHA.
Coupled with the recent Project Labor Agreement for resident
hiring, this money has the potential to transform entire families.
Lets make sure the State Senate and Governor Cuomo hear loud
and clear: NYCHA residents deserve more! State leaders must
support tenants and provide critical and unprecedented funding to
the New York Housing Authority. Help us spread the word and join
us Friday morning.
