Support Group for Caregivers

This monthly support group is for those providing care to an aged
or chronically ill loved one, while losing sight of themselves. We DFC (Main Campus) Ministerial Staff

"Symphony of Love" - Valentine's Day

Join us on February 14th at 6:00 pm for “The Symphony of
Love.” Be sure to bring your friends and neighbors. This is a free
concert (but you can buy "secured" seats for $5 or "Artist Circle" for
$25.) Get tickets at the Hot Booth, the Reception Desk, the DFC

I was 12 years old when I attended my first professional football
game. My dad promised he would take me to a Kansas City Chiefs
game the next day if I played well in my football game that
Saturday. He kept his promise. That next day, I attended the Chiefs
game. I will never forget walking into the stadium and seeing the
green, artificial turf field. To see the players in their shining
uniforms was like watching modern day gladiators. When the
players took the field and the crowd roared it was overwhelming. It
was a day I will never forget. Since that first game I have always en-
joyed the venue of professional sports so much!
I am sure there are many events in our lives that we look back on
and say “since then.” We begin our study of the Holy Life with Paul
beginning with the words “since then.” Of all the events in our lives
there is one event that we can say very boldly “since then” my life
has been different. There is nothing more life-changing than coming
to know Jesus as our personal Savior! Having our sins washed
away! Having His Spirit residing in our lives has changed every-
thing! It is the most important event.
We begin this series on the Holy Life with the proclamation that
since that day happened, we are ready and equipped to be His Holy
instruments in this world. This world needs examples of people
filled with Holy love. We can remember a day, a great day when He
set us apart for His glory! May God speak to us today about this
Holy Life!

Help Send the Youth on Missions
You can help send our youth on mission trips by attending the 9th
Annual Pie Auction. The auction this year is Sunday, February 21st at
6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Prior to the auction, we will have a
youth-led service at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Proceeds from the
auction will go toward youth summer missions. Join us for a night of
fun! We also need homemade pies! If you are interested in helping,
please fill out a pie commitment card at the Student Ministries Booth.

Thank You
We are finally catching our breath after a holiday of moving, unpacking
and entertaining out of town visitors. We just wanted to take a moment
to thank all of those who sent us well-wishes, house warming gifts and
Christmas goodies. Please know how much we appreciate your
kindness and generosity. DFC has overwhelmed us with love,
encouragement, prayers and support during this time of transition for
our family. We cannot believe our good fortune for landing in such a
wonderful church. Thank you very much!

Honoring Jerry Nelson
There will be a card reception for Jerry Nelson on Sunday, Feb 14 after
the morning service and another after the Symphony of Love Concert
that evening. Any gifts will go toward facilitating the ongoing African
missions work in the Congo and Zimbabwe. We wish Jerry well as he
moves into full time concert ministry. He will be greatly missed!
