Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
During our project of study about clothing the students learn about the different clothes that people
wear for their jobs. I asked parents to send in picture of themselves or other family members
wearing the clothes they wear to work.
C.-This helped tie our learning in the background or our students and really got them interesting in
learn about the topic.
D.-This strategy was great at engaging all of the students because they were learning about people
that they knew and were even related to. It made the learning a lot more real and accessible to the
preschoolers.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
This was one of my most successful projects with our clothing study. The students absolutely loved
sharing the picture of their family members and it really got the students interested in the topic
because it was so much more meaningful to them. Also, it opened up some new fields of work that I
hadnt even thought about covering, and helped the students make connections. One students dad
is a welder. The students were able to make connections from the clothes a welder wears for work
to the clothes that a firefighter wears.
