Avondale and the Anzac Connections
Avondale Library would like to celebrate the marking
of 100 years of the Great War, World War 1.

So far, there has been a very good response with well
over 25 coming at last count. If you haven’t contacted
Alison yet to let her know you’re coming — phone
825-0300.

Thames visit in November?

This can be through the loan of photographs, letters,
memorabilia of that period or sharing your families
story on Wednesday 22 April at 10.30 am at Avondale
library.

A suggestion was raised at our February meeting that
perhaps in November we organise a visit for AWHS
members and friends to Thames, to check out the
Treasury (research and genealogy library), Thames
Museum, and the School of Mines, at least.

We would like to hear from you! Please contact
Rosemary on Phone (09) 374-1310.

Once past the April movie outing, we’ll put heads together to present something for the June meeting.

Next meeting of the
Avondale-Waterview Historical Society:
At St Ninians, St Georges Road (opp. Hollywood Cinema)
SATURDAY, 4 April 2015, 2.00 pm
